“SPORTING GOODS” “Sporting Goods,*’ starring Richard Dix in one of the most enjoyable sporting comedies ever written. will be shown this evening at the Tudor Theatre. Remuera. Dix plays in the role of a wandering salesman, who has invented a trick golf suit. He claims the wearer will be able to down any opponent through the many innovations he has incorporated in the suit. After many adventures, in one of which he finds himself in a most exclusive hotel in Los Angeles, with only four dollars in his pocket, he finally secures an order for 3 0,000 dollars worth of suits. The buyer, who is Ford Sterling, then invites Dix to play a round of golf, both wearing a sample of Dix’s suit. While they are in the middle of their game it rains, and Dix and Sterling are dismayed to find the suits have stretched many sizes. Sterling immediately cancels his order. “A Dog of the Regiment.” a picture showing Rin-Tin-Tin in France, will also be shown.
