DEVONPORT YACHT CLUB

ANNUAL PRIZE NIGHT HELD The Devonport Yacht Club held its annual prize night in the Masonic Hall last evening. The function took the form of a dance. The prizes were distributed by the Mayor, Mr. E. Aldridge, who said that the borough had given material help to the yacht club in the way of making a site available and was prepared to help further, particularly in beautifying the neighbourhood of the clubhouse. Money from the Watson bequest was now available for such purpose. The president, Mr. Trevithick, and commodore, Mr. A. McKenzie, welcomed the visitors from other clubs; all the city clubs being represented. The prize list was published in The Sun on Tuesday.
