PAKURANGA HUNT

MEET AT HOWICK SCHOOL GOOD GOING WITH ONE KILL There was a fair attendance of members of the Pakuranga Hunt at the meet at,the Howick Public School on Tuesday. After a short draw a hare was raised, and it took the field for a tour round the outskirts of Howick. Passingthrough Mr, Nicholas’s farm, it found shelter on the road. Another quarry was soon put up at the back of the same property, and it led the pack a merry dance for over an hour and ahalf, across a good line of hunting country. The ground generally was moist, but the going throughout was good, and the scent held well. After completing several circles, and having some remarkably narrow escapes, puss was run to earth on the road. This was the only kill of the day.
