TO STUDY AT CAMBRIDGE
FAREWELL TO DR. MACKY ’ A social given to Dr. Wallace A. Macky, who will leave for England, via Sydney, by the Marama on Friday, to study at Cambridge, was given by the Onehunga Presbyterian Church and Bible classes on Saturday. In terms of the 1851 scholarship, recently awarded to him, he will enter upon a two-years’ course of reesarch in physics, and will study under Sir Ernest Rutherford. A presentation of a travelling rug was made by the Rev. D. D. Scott.
