The following was the result of the leading event: THE AUSTRALIAN STEEPLECHASE Of £2,100; about 3J miles. SIR ALOGY (A. T. Creswick), blk g, by Analogy—Dainty Step, syrs» 0.10 (K. Scott) 1 XYAXGAY (J. F. Ryan). Oyrs, 11.12 . 2 CLAN ROBERT (X. Falkiner), 12yrs, 12.7 3 Eleven started. Sir Alogy, who led from the start, won by two and a-half lengths, with five lengths between second and third. Time, 6.59$ (equals the course record). Sir Alogy won the Australian Hurdles the previous Saturday.
