Carnival Dance

Successful Function For All Saints’ Queen

MUSIC AND CARDS A very jolly “Carnival Dance” was held by the All Saints’ Queen Carnival Committee in Lewis Eady’s Hall last evening. Potted shrubs and spring flowers made effective decorations, and for those who did not care to dance there were card tables in the foyer. Mr. Al. Clarke’s band dispensed cheery dance music, which was enjoyed by a host of daintily-froeked dancers. Members of the committee present were: Mrs. W. Averill, rose georgette frock embroidered in silver sequins. Mrs. W Brown, sequinned black georgette model. Mrs. S. Laglan, black georgette frock banded with sequin trimming. Mrs. Orrarod, black chenille embossed georgette gown. Mrs. De Audney, black beaded georgette gown. Mrs. Wethcrilt, black georgette gown embossed in gold thread. Mrs. C. Phillips, chenille embossed gorgette gown of scarab blue. Mrs. E. Smith, chiffon velvet frock of coral pink. Mrs Hemus, black georgette frock embroidered with black and silver beads. Among the others present were: Mrs. Lennox, black georgette frock embroidered in black and silver sequins. Mrs. Bedford, ecru lace and georgette frock. Mrs. Cornish, opalescent sequin gown. Mrs. Taylor, gown of black chiffon. Mrs. Johnston, frock of clack georgette and lace. Mrs. Lees, black sou pie satin gown embroidered in sequins. Mrs. T. W. Jensen, black chiffon velvet and tulle gown embossed in gold thread. Mrs. Adams, gown of black panne velvet. Mrs. Leyland, gold lace frock. Mrs. Hemus, model frock of black georgette embroidered with crystal beads. Miss Claire Brown (Queen ), bouffant gown of japoniea pink taffeta with petalled hem. Miss Nora Phillips, bouffant frock of taffeta in two shades of cyclamen. Miss Sybil Phillipps, dainty frock of orchid pink taffeta. Miss Nance Lennox, frock of palest primrose georgette embroidered with silver beads. Miss Doris urellin, frock of mauve crepe de chine and silver hce. Miss Noel Hemus, flame georgette gown beaded in silver. Miss Betty Hemus, frock of two-toned cyclamen taffeta. Miss Leah Freeman, blush rose georgette frock. Miss Olga Read, ivory chiffon velvet gown with hem of white fox fur. Miss Jean Allison, dainty gown of turquoise blue georgette. Miss Dolly Rice, frock of rose georgette with petalled hem. Miss Mary Johnston, peach-tinted georgette frock daintily embroidered in .floral design. Miss Coyle, gown of cameo pink geori gette. I Miss Sophie Ryburn, frock of canton jade crepe de chine. Miss Ella Ryburn, bouffant frock of pompadour pink taffeta. Miss Thomas, leaf green georgette j frock. I Miss Saunders, gown of cubau orange chiffon velvet.
