MANUKAU CRUISING CLUB

SIXTH ANNUAL MEETING The sixth annual meeting of the Manukau Cruising Club was held in the Orphans Mall, Onehunga, last evening, Mr. J. Keegan presiding. The report and balance-sheet showed the club to be in a sound state both as regards membership and finances The election of officers resulted: Patron, W. J. Jordan, M.P.; president, J. Keegan; commodore, R. Auger; vicecommodore, L. Boujaid; rear commodore, L. Peterson; club house captain, E. Jones; secretary and treasurer, J. C. Sibbin; assistant secretary, T. E. Smith; starter, W. Davies; judges, W. Davies and A. Filmer; timekeepers, T. E. Smith and J. Keegan; handicappers. T. Lloyd, W. Davies and A. Filmer; auditors, J. Keegan and R. Inglis; trustees, J. Keegan, R. Inglis and T E. Smith; committee, Dunning, J. Pascoe, Evans, T. E. Smith, J. Smith, P. Auger, J. Keegan, L. Smith; sailing committee, commodore, vice-com-modore, and Messrs. Jones, Davies and Evans; delegates to the Yacht and Motor-Boat Association, Messrs. T. Boujaid and J. C. Sibbin; model yacht superintendent, Mr. W. Davies. It was decided that the club should make every endeavour to assist the promoters of the effort to restore daylight saving. A vote of thanks was passed to the outgoing officers and the president, speical mention being made of the energetic secretary, Mr. Sibbin.
