AN “AT HOME"
OTAHUHU WOMEN GOLFERS A very enjoyable at home was held by the members of the Otahuhu Ladies’ Golf Club, on the Favona links yesterday afternoon. Representatives were present from tlie Middlemore, Maungakiekie. Akarana, Papakura, Pukekohe and Waiuku Clubs, and the afternoon was spent in playing Canadian foursomes. Miss Cutforth, captain of the Otahuhu Club, extended a hearty welcome to the many guests, and wished them all a happy afternoon’s sport, and at the conclusion of play presented the trophies to the successful competitors. Mrs. Pavitt, Papakura, and Mrs. Chapman, 104—*29, 75, tied with Miss Cutforth and Miss Darrah, Akarana, 92 —17, 75, the former pair being adjudged the winners, for returning the better card for the last half of the course. The next best card handed in was Miss Orr, Middlemore, and Miss N. Mellsop, 96 —IS, 78. The pavilion had been daintily decked for the occasion, and vases of spring flowers graced the afternoon tea tables.
