WITHHOLDING OF PERMIT TAKAPUNA COUNCIL MEETS The borough solicitors advised the Takapuna Borough Council at its meeting last evening that the permit for a cabaret at Milford could not be withheld providing the council was satisfied as to the character of the applicants. The letter was received The council decided to co-operate with the Auckland Hospital Board in urging the Government to treat unemployment relief expenditure as a national question. Only two cases of Infectious disease had been reported in the Takapuna borough since April 1, and it was claimed that the district was one of the healthiest in New Zealand.
