FANCY DRESS DANCE
Proceeds from a plain and fancy dress dance, organised by Mrs. H. Pivot, at Waimauku on Saturday evening, were for the hall enlargement fund. Decorations were a feature, and musical items and recitations were given. About 60 children were in the grand march. The prize-winners were: Under nine years—Best fancy dress, boy, Mervyn Tate. “Dutch boy”; girl, Xgaire Kerr-Taylor, “French Peasant.” Most original dress—Boy, Charlie Mitchell. “Tramp”; girl, Lily Jones, t “Yates’s Seeds.” Best home-made dress, Alice Lee, "Lavender Lady." —
