CATHOLIC QUEEN CARNIVAL FUNCTION FOR TOWN QUEEN
The social evening: organised b~ Madame Ailecn Frost in aid of tha town Queen of the Manurewa Catholic Queen carnival, and held in the Mani/ rewa Town Hall on Friday eveninr was a decided success. Drncing was indulged in to music supplied bv KjJ. dell’s Orchestra. Mr. Robert’ Frost acted as M.C. Interspersed with the dances were a number of very enjoyable musical items, given by Mrs Denize, Miss Dorothy Kelson, Miss Gav Maxwell, and Miss Marjorie Prendergast. Keen interest was displaved m several competitions, the winners of which were Mrs. Collie, Mrs. Robinson, Mrs. Kidd ell, Mr. Stan Bennett, and Mr. Robert Drum. Madame Afleen Frost acted as accompanist.
