RESCUER’S REGRETS
UNJUST ATTACKS ON NOBILE (United P.A.—By Telegraph — Copyright) (Australian and N.Z. Press Association) ROME, Saturday. The Swedish airman, Captain Liindborg, who rescued General Nobile from the icefloe in the Arctic, has written to the latter regretting what he terms the unjust comments in the Press. He says: “I desire to establish the truth. You asked me first to take Signor Ceccioni off the ice. It was only after insistent and repeated pleadings by Commander Viglieri and others that you consented to come first, in accordance with my orders.”
