THE BEST SOLUTION
MINER GOES BACK HOME “The best solution would be for him to return to his home at Kawaka wa,” said Sub-Inspector McCarthy of James Wallace at the Police Court this morning. Wallace was charged with l«eing found on enclosed premises without lawful excuse. The Sub-Inspector said that Wallace had came to town and gone to his sister's place. She, however, was unable to support him. and had asked him to leave. This he refused to do and the police had to be called in. “It is rather a difficult and j>*«culiar case,” concluded Mr. McCarthy. “Although it was thought that he was mentally deficient two doctors have refused to certify in that direction. Ho is certainly unfit to wander round the streets and I think it would be best for him to return to Kawakawa.”
"Wallace was convicted and ordered to come up for sentence within six months if called upon.
