Gashed Body Found In Dried River-bed
QUEENSLAND TRAGEDY MURDERED WHILE SLEEPING? (United P.A.—By Telegraph — Copyright) Reed. 9 a.m. BRISBANE, To-day. A bush tragedy 15 miles from St. George is reported by local iisliennen, who found the partly-buried body of a man about 24 in a dried river-bed, where he had been hastily buried in the sand, but had become uncovered. The head and throat were terribly gashed, suggesting that he had been murdered while sleeping. The remains of a fire were found, where clothing had been recently burned. The police have arrested a new arrival, James Frank.
