‘ ‘Mercenary Mary Dance at Dixieland Miss Elsie Prince, Mr. Jimmy Godden and Mr. Charlton Morton, together with the other members of the “Mercenary Mary” company, were the gnests of the management at Dixieland last evening. Harry Neilson and his bright band supplied the most attractive variety of dance tunes, and graceful exhibition dances were given by Miss Yvonne Arlen and Mr. Colin Shorter. Miss Elsie Prince was wearing a dainty frock of silver-beaded georgette in a pale fuchsia tone. Among those present were: Mrs. Prince, wearing black ring velvet. Mrs. Charlton Morton, in a frock of black and gold. Mrs. Morley, wearing cherry red taffeta. ' Mrs. Ray Fuller, in a mitred frock of Mrs. Charles Smith, who wore geranium red velvet. Mrs. George Brown, in blush pink georgette. Mrs. C. Seagar, whose frock was of powder blue taffeta and silver lace. Mrs. W. A. Kirby, in black beaded georgette. Mrs. Myer (Melbourne), frock of black ring velvet. Mrs. Dick, black georgette frock. Mrs. Butcher, primrose chenille and lace. Mrs. Bernstone, frock of rose blush georgette. Mrs. James, claret ring velvet frock. Mrs. Morrison, oriental figured velvet. Mrs. Crump, geranium rose crepe de chine. Mrs. H. Buchanan, flame beaded georgette frock. Mrs. Callinan, petalled black georgette. Mrs. Bloom (Melbourne), sunset beaded georgette. Mrs. Hodgson, lacquer red georgette frock. Mrs.. T. George, black panne velvet and lace. Mrs. C. Otter, ivory georgette embossed in gold. Mrs. C. Robinson, nile green crepe de chine. Mrs. Kissin, frock of gold ring velvet and georgette. Mrs. Raymond, black and ecru lame.
