TRAINING OF MIGRANTS
FACILITIES TO BE EXTENDED (United P.A. —By Telegraph — -Copyright) (Australian and V.Z. Press Association , l (United Service) LONDON, Monday. In the House of Commons the Under- Secretary for the Colonies, Mr. W. G. Ormsby-Gore, said the Government proposed substantially to extend the facilities for the preliminary training of prospective migrants. There would be two new instruction camps, and an extension of the activities of voluntary societies. The Overseas Settlement Committee had taken steps to further its policy, also to pay a family allowance while a bread-winner was in training. As to land settlement and the recommendations of the Industrial Transference Board, Lord Lovat would take up discussions with the Dominions on his tour.
