DECREASES SHOWN INCREASE IN DEATHS Decreases in births and marriages and an increase in deaths are shown in vital statistics for Auckland for last month. For the seven months of 1928 as compared with 1927 there were fewer births and more marriages and deaths. Births in .July numbered 251 compared with 279 in the same month last year; deaths ISO against 179; and marriages 138 against 151. The registrar performed 45 marriages compared with 40 in July, 1927. For the seven months there were 1,910 births compared with 2,024 in 1927; deaths 997 against 994; and marriages 1,225 against 1,187. During the period 29S marriages were performed by the registrar compared with 287 in 1927.
