DRIVING TOO FAST
FRANKTON MAN FINED COLLISION IN A FOG (From Our Own Correspondent) HAMILTON, Monday. A factory employee, Cyril McLeod, of Frankton, was fined £3 by Mr. F. W. Platts, S.M., on a charge of dangerous and negligent driving. The flrosecution arose out of a collision between a car driven by McLeod and a stationary taxi in charge of John Muir on the Cambridge-Ho.milton road on the night of July 1. * The taxi was hurled along the road for a distance of 110 ft, and burst into flames. In his reserved decision, Mr. Platts said that it was clear that the defendant was not keeping a proper lookout, and that, in view of the fog prevailing at the time, he was driving too fast, '
