AUCKLAND ORPHANS ENTERTAIN VISITORS
OTAHUHU AND PAPAKURA The executives of the sister clubs at Otahuhu and Papakura were the guests of the Auckland Orphans’ Club on Saturday evening. The orchestra, under Mr. Harold Baxter, played the overture, “The Geisha” (Sydney Jones), and the ballet, "Egyptian” (Lulgini). Items were given by Professor Maxwell Walker, Messrs. Claude Allen, Holder, P. Newberry, W. Jones, R. Eskrigge, Battersby, G. Poore and E. T.uks. The accompanists were Messrs. T. Sparling and Cyril Towsey.
Mr. V. R. Meredith was in the chair. Air. W. W. Massey replied on behalf uf the Otahuhu Club, and Mr. W. K. Frances, for the visitors from Papakura.
