SPIES TO DlE.—The military trial °t 28 Latvians, who were accused of espionage on behalf of Russia, has ended. Four of the accused were sentenced to ueath, four to hard labour for life, and others to from five to 15 years’ imprisonment, with hard labour. — A.p.a.—u.s. ENDOWING TOC H.—The Prince of Wales's fund for the endowment of Toe w has now reached £53,000. This includes £lO5 each from the English, jottish and Australian Bank, the Bank Australasia and the Union Bank of Australia, in recognition of the assistance given by Toe H to young men fto are going overseas.—A.P.A.-U.S.
