In the past, when a dispute arose, there was no standard on which to base arguments. The scheme would enable miller and consumer to adjust any differences. “The fact that the Government is giving preference to New Zealand woods over imported timber and wood substitutes will materially assist the industry, and it should set a good example to the public generally."
