Mr. S. Jowett left for Wellington last evening by the Limited. Dr. Helen Easterfield arrived from Wellington this morning by the Limited. Judge C. E. Justice Frazer, president of the Arbitration Court, arrived in Auckland yesterday. He is staying at the Cargen Air. R. G. Smith, president of the Woodville Gun Club, is on a visit to Auckland, and is proceeding to a shooting trip in the North. Mr. G. A. Lee, who has been a member of a Royal Commission on Timaru Harbour affairs for the last three weeks, has returned to Auckland. Air. H. H. Sterling, general manager of the New Zealand Ritilways, left Hamilton last evening by train for Palmerston North and Feilding. He expects to return to Hamilton to-morrow morning. Mr. H. A. Penn, traffic advisor to the divisional superintendent of railways, Auckland, will leave for Christchurch on Thursday evening, where he will take up his new appointment as district traffic manager. Mr. Drummond Holderness, engineer to the Auckland Harbour Board, who has been visiting Timaru, as a member of a Royal Commission concerning the Timaru Harbour Board, returned to Auckland yesterday morning. Air. H. R. H. Chalmers, the new assistant manager of the Bank of New Zealand, Auckland, arrived from the South 'during the week-end. He will take up his appointment at the end of the month.
