HIKURAWGI, WAIKATO AND RANGITAIKI In the report for the Ilikurangi Dairy Company for the year ended May 31, 1928, it is shown that 5.398.587 lb. of cream was received, the average test being ,38.118 per cent. The yield of butter-fat was 2.057,5361 b. from which was manufactured 1,122 tons 10 cwt. of butter, an increase over the previous season qf 62 tons 9 cwt. 3qrs. and easily a record for the company. The average grade of butter was-92.19, while 81 per cent, of the output was graded as finest. The average advance payment was 15.398 d a lb butter-fat, plus cost of cream collection ,73Sd a lb butterfat, and a premium of .5d a lb for superfine. After paying advances for butterfat and all working, administrative and marketing expenses, there is a balance of £18,141 Is sd. Depreciation on plant and buildings will account for £2,500; dividend at 5 per cent, on all eligible fully-paid shares will absorb £4OB 3s, while a further payment of 1.75 d a lb on all butter-fat supplied during the season will amount to £15,005 Is Id, • leaving a balance of £227 17s 4d to be carried forward. The annual meeting of shareholders will be held on July 31. The directors retiring by rotation are Messrs. F. Elliott, J. Rouse and J. J. Whimp, who are eligible for re-election. Payments totalling £104,515 have been advanced this month to shareholders of the Waikato dairy factories for butter-fat supplied in June, as against £86,395 advanced in July, 1927, for the June supply. The improvement in prices is equal to 12 per cent, and the balance of the increase is attributed to larger production. The output of butter from the Rangitaiki Dairy Company’s factory for June totalled 97,5431 b, and the pay-out on Saturady was Is 51d a lb superfine, absorbing £6.599 ISs Id.
