DANCE AT UNIVERSITY
ARCHITECTURAL STUDENTS Last evening the Architectural students gave the first fancy dress dance in the Architectural Studio at the University. The studio was decorated with greenery and coloured lights. During the evening a demonstration of thought-reading was given by Fargus and a partner, Miss McLean and Miss Milne. Members of the staff who were present were Professor and Mrs. Knight, Mr. and Mrs. O’Shea, and Mr. S. 1. Crookes. Among the dancers were: Miss Greenwood, wings of dawn: MiJaffrey, Alsatian peasant; Miss « - Brown, Hawaiian native; Miss Milne*. Chinese princess; Miss Bowcii, t-'nam.-n girl; Miss Suter, Melisand* ; -Miss « •.lu- n. black cat; Miss MacCormick, witch; Miss Munro, small girl; Miss Dunckley, Mexican girl; Miss Robson, crinolini , Ktoa White, Indian maid; Miss Connor, Dresden shepherdess; Miss Miller, black pierette; Miss Croucher, rainbow girl; Miss Murdoch, eastern costume; Miss Parks, green carnival; Miss Duncan, Indian costume. The prize for the best couple was won by Mr. Warren and partner, and j the prize for the best lady was given |to Miss Robson. The booby prize ' | was won by Mr. T. Couth. Prizes were 1 | awarded by Mrs. Knight.
