CAPABLE CUSTODIANS AT CARLAW PARK
'IV'ITH the rep. season started and the visit of the English thirteen approaching, “Opai” Asher and Rangi, the Carlaw Park groundsmen, are busy men these days.
“Opai” was himself a fine Rugby and League player in his day, and represented his country on many occasions in the thirteen a-side game. He was one of the two New Zealanders who gained places in the Australasian sides which met Lomas's 1911 Northern Union team.
