According to report, petrol prices for all, or most of the brands of motor spirit, will be reduced by 1d a gallon on Tuesday next. This is believed to be the result of suburban sellers under-cutting th»> city pump owners by id a gallon in order to draw trade. With the hugnumber of pumps in the city, cumin tiiion is keen, and the latest move, which is made by the Petrol Committee of the Motor Traders' Association, may start a city v. suburbs price war. The present prices are 2s Id for first grade and Is lid for second. On Tuesday the prices are expected to be 2> and Is lOd respectively. Mr. G.
