SOCIETY OF MUSICIANS

MEMBERS’ RECEPTION Dr. S. K. Phillips, the president of the Auckland Society of Musicians, welcomed the guests at an enjoyable reception held by the members in the Lyceum Clum lounge last evening. Mr. John Tait’s madrigal choir supplied a number of delightful choral numbers, songs, and instrumental solos. Other items included two songs by Master J. Cameron, witli Miss Eva Hood as his accompanist, and songs by Miss C. Ormiston. Miss Higham played two of Kreisler’s compositions on the violin, and Miss Eva Hood delighted the audience with two, Chopin studies.
