King’s Cup Airplane Race Next Friday
Home Secretary Enters Machine WEBSTER COMPETING British Official Wireless. Reed. 11.2 S a.m. RUGBY. Monday. The King's Cup Air Race will he flown next Friday and Saturday on a course round Britain. Thirty-eight machines have entered and the pilots include Flight-Lieut. Webster, winner of the Schneider Trophy. The Home Secretary. Sir William Jovnsou-Hicks, has entered a machine for the event, which Flying Officer Atcherley, one of the pilots who gave such a brilliant exhibition of upside-down flying at the recent Air Force display at Hendon, will pilot. The competitors also Include an airwoman. Winifred Spooner. The race is flown on a handicap basis, and low and high-powered machines will compete.
