Lance Fairfax Engaged for Leading Parts

Another New Zealander has reached the ranks of stardom on the Australian stage. Lance Fairfax, formerly of Wellington, has been engaged by J. C. Williamson , Ltd., to play juvenile lead in “The Desert Song” and “Hit the Deck.”

He teas last here with the Gilbert and Sullivan Opera Company, and tvill be remembered for his beautiful singing voice and, excellent acting. Mr. Fairfax served with the Canterbury Regiment during the tear and received an engagement with The Firm when he returned from the front. New Zealand icill see him in his first big success iclicn the company tours this country later in the year.
