“WAY OF ALL FLESH” Emil Jannings, the famous Continental actor, is the star in “The Way of All Flesh,” which will be shown tonight at the Grand Theatre. In the opening sequences tlie bril liant star plays a kindly, middle-aged 5 family man, in love with his wife, his - i children and his work. Then “the > other woman,” Phyllis Haver, enu his life, and years seem to drop from • his shoulders. He is young, vigorous 3 and carefree. Then comes the denoue- . ? ment, and Jannings, a dissolute, broken ' . man, wears the evidence of weakness ; lin his haggard face. The fourth and {■ closing characterisation is that of an old, old man, with bald he ’ beard, sunken cheeks and dull eyes. 1 Bell Bennett, the star of -Mother 5 Machree,” is seen as the leading j feminine player.
