TUDOR, REMUERA
“SILK LEGS” Lionel Barrymore, Aileen Pringle and Norman Kerry are the stars which head the list of players in the picture “Body and Soul.” now being shown at the Tudor Theatre, Remuera. Set amid the impressive scenery of the Swiss Alps, it tells the tale of a peasant maid who marries a human derelict out of gratitude and then unwittingly arouses his jealousy to such a pitch that he brands her body with a white-hot iron so all men may know she is his. A mountaineer rescues the girl, spirits her away to his cabin, and the’two fall in love. How the husband appears on the scene, the sacrifice of the girl to save the man she loves, and their eventual happiness, make a powerful play of thrilling adventure, heroic rescues and intense romance. It affords Miss Pringle the greatest emotional opportunity of her career. Madge Bellamy in her latest comedy, “Silk Legs,” is the second attraction. I
