NEW AUSTRALIAN LOAN
LONDON ISSUE OF £7,000,000 (United P.A. — By Telegraph — Copyright) (Australian P.A.—United Service) LONDON, Thursday. Underwriting has been completed of a loan of JE 7,000,000 in 5 per cent, stock for the Commonwealth of Australia. The stock, which is redeemable in 2 945-75. will be issued at 98. The final instalment of 50 per cent, is payable on September 14. The first interest payment of 35s per cent, will be made on January 1. The terms announced are the same as those of the Commonwealth loan in London at the beginning of March, giving net return, presuming redemption in 1 • vears. of £5 3s Sd per cent. Succes- •^ lve of 5 per cent. 1945-75 stock have been made in London as follow: T'llv. 1927. £7.n0n,000 at 98. of which 90 r*er cent, was left with the underwriters; November. £7.000.000. at 97* (75 per cent. with the underwriters): March. L.V 000.000 at 08 (84 per cent, left with underwriters). At the end of April.
