MISSING LAUNCH

NO SIGN AT WHANGAROA LEFT A WEEK AGO The launch Taupiri has now been missing for a week, ancl fears are entertained for the safety of the two men on board, Messrs. H. Hansen, of Whangaroa, and A. Smith, of Auckland. The following message was received this morning from the police at Whangaroa : The launch Taupiri left Whangaroa at 4 p.m. on July 5 with Hansen and Smith aboard. There is no sign of the launch around the coast here. The launch is painted white, and is 30 feet long, with a 7ft beam. The rudder is outside the stern. The launch has one. mast, a new sail and jib, and a Corson engine.
