MISS HALPIN’S RECITAL

ACCOMPLISHED PIANISTE Assisted by the popular soprona, Miss Etta Field, Miss Theo Halpin, the talented young Auckland pianiste, who has recently returned after studying at the Royal College of Music, London, will give a recital at the Lewis Eady Hall to-morrow evening. Aliss Halpin, F.T.C.L., L.A.8., gold medallist and exhibitionist, is an allround musician, the violin, and ’cello also being among her accomplishments, while voice production was also included in her English studies. Her work at the Royal College was most successful, the young New Zealander being chosen to play in the first orchestra of the college. At the concert given by the Bohemian Orchestra in April, Miss Halpin’s rendering of Liszt’s Concerto in E Flat attracted much attention.
