WIDOW LOSES £ll7
A habit of carrying a large sum in money about with her is regretted by an Onehunga widow who lost £ll7 in notes yesterday. The money, two £ 50-notes, two £~ and seven £l, was compensation for the death of her husband, a tramways motorman, and the woman had carried it with her in a handbag, being afraid to leave it in her house. She attended a matinee at the Strand Theatre. Onehunga, yesterday afternoon and found that she had lost the bag on her arrival at her home. The search has not yet been successful.
