MISSED SHIP GIVES MINISTER TO CHURCH

ST. ANDREW’S GAIN St. Andrew’s Church has obtained a new minister for four weeks, through a Niagara passenger missing his ship. The Rev. D. J. A. Seymour, of Chalmers Presbyterian Church, Adelaide, and ex-moderator of the South Australian General Assembly, arrived by the Niagara on his way to accept a call to a church in Montreal. He saw the sights of Auckland and arrived back at the wharf to find that the ship was two hours at sea. The managers of St. Andrew’s saw an opportunity, and obtained his services until the next ship to Vancouver leaves.
