LOST POLAR EXPLORER RUSSIAN AIRMAN SAFE FORCED DOWN AMONG ICE (United P.A. —By Telegraph — Copyright) (Australian P.A. —United Service) Reed. 12.30 p.m. MOSCOW, Wed. The Russian aviator, M. Babuskin, who has been missing since he left the ice-breaker Malygin on June 2‘J to search for Viglieri’s party of Italia castaways, has returned all well. Head winds forced him to descend with his seaplane into the sea. He had many escapes from being crushed by ice-floes. The Malygin has left Hope Island for the south-east of King’s Bay. The ship searched among the ice round Bear Island, but found no trace of Captain Amundsen. The report about the Albion rescuing Captain Amundsen was a mistaken one.
