Following the storm of protest from the Bay of Plenty regarding the Government’s proposal to build the TaupoRotorua railway, the Prime Minister, Mr. Coates has replied to the effect that he will arrange for the representations to have careful consideration. PREPARING TO START HUTS BEING BUILT (Prom Our Own Correspondent) ROTORUA, Wednesday. As an earnest that the Government intends to make an immediate start with the railway from Rotorua to Taupo, an engineer connected with the Public Wbrks Department has already arrived at Rotorua, and the huts are arriving to-day. They will be erected a few miles from the town, where the first camp will be located.
