GOVERNMENT’S MOTIVES MR. MASON ASKS A QUESTION (THE SUN’S 'Parliamentary ReporterJ WELLINGTON, To-day. "Is it correct.” asked Mr. H. G. R. Mason (Eden) in the House yesterday, “that the Government has decided to proceed with the construction of tin Rotorua-Taupo line immediately?” “If it is correct,” he went on, "has the project been made the subject of investigation by the Public Works Department, Railway Department, and Agricultural Department, in accordance with the policy announced in tie railway statement for 1924?” Mr. Mason, whose query was in the form of a notice to inquire, and aa such will be answered later in the session, wishes to have the departmental reports on which the Government has decided to act made public.
