SCHOOL BANK ARGUMENT
BOARD TAKES NO ACTION Banking systems for schools cannot bo enforced by the Auckland Education Board, and so members decided yesterday to pass no resolutions regarding the refusal of the Belmont school staff to continue the savingsbank scheme. A letter from the headmaster said that the staff had considered the banks, and decided unanimously that they were not warranted ‘ ethically or educationally.” The chairman. Mr. A. Burns, said that there seemed a good deal of personal feeling in the argumenl about the bank. Mr. H. W. Campbell: We should not be drawn into it.
