BOHEMIAN ORCHESTRA

PROGRAMME FOR THIS EVENING VARIETY ASSURED For this season’s second concert to be given at the Town Hall this evening tho Bohemian Orchestra has provided interesting fare. In again arranging for the appearance of the juvenile violin choir the society’s energetic and capable conductor, Mr. Colin Muston is performing

valuable service, as apart from the variety provided, a steady supply of young players is thus assured. The choir will play Bach’s “Air on Cr String,” by no means an easy number, and Raff’s “Cavatina.” The first movement from Bach’s “Violin Concerto No. 1” will be played by eight of the young violinists and Hubay’s “Hejre Kati,” by Master Harold Tabener, the youngest performer. The orchestral programme will include the following varied numbers: “Malaguena” (Moszkowski), “Dance of the Hours” (Ponchielli), “Valse Triste” (Sibelius), German’s “Welsh Rhapsodie,” and Elgar’s “Enigma” variations (first performance). The soloists will be Miss Mollie Wright, ’cellist, and Mr. Lawrence North, baritone. Miss Wright will play the Boellman “Variations” and Mr. North will sing Cowen’s “Onaway Awake, Beloved.”
