Five Actors Hurt
COLLISION AT RANDWICK LEON GORDON AMONG THEM (United P.A. —By Telegraph — Copyright) Reed. 9.30 a.m. SYDNEY, To-day. In a motor-car collision which occurred at Randwick, four actors and
one actress from the Theatre Royal were injured. They were:—Mr. Ben Lewin, fractured skull. Mr. Leon Gordon, head injuries. Mr. John Darcy, head injuries. Mr. James Patterson, head injuries and shock. Miss May Collins, abrasions and shock. Leon Gordon, who recently returned to Australia from the United States, is to open in Wellington with “The Trial of Mary Dugan,” on July 18. The Auckland season is to start on August 8, but the accident may postpone the tour. Mr. Gordon first came to New Zealand with ‘‘White Cargo,” with which he had a success. May Collins is his leading lady. The company has been playing a revival of “Scandal” in Sydney.
