£350,000 RAISED FOR GOLDEN WEDDING GIFT
British Official Wireless RUGBY, Sunday. THE amount raised by subscrip* tions from all parts of the world as a personal tribute to the Earl of Lonsdale, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of h»s wedding, in recognition of his ser vices to British sport, has reached the huge and unforeseen total of £ 350,000. The Earl has asked that a committee of trustees shall be appointed to use the sum for maintaining a convalescent home for those who have participated in sport and have encountered misfortune.
