WEDDING BELLS
STRONG—MACKAY The wedding was celebrated at St. Matthew’s Church, Auckland, on Wednesday, of Zillah, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. M. Mackay, of Levuka, Fiji, to Mr. George Osborne Strong, of Mount Albert. Canon Grant Cowen officiated. The bride, who was given away by Mr. W. Webber, of Ponsonby, wore a beautiful ivory taffeta frock, prettily ornamented with a silver and pale pink rose spray falling from her left shoulder, and a hand-embroidered tulle veil with a coronet of silver tissue and'orange blossoms. A handsome pink and white shower bouquet was carried. Miss B. Arrowsmith, of Devonport, attended her as bridesmaid, and wore a rose velvet frock, with head-dress of tulie, with pink and gold bandeau, and a shower bouquet of roses and pink carnations was carried. Mr. Clarence Strong, brother of the bridegroom, attended as best man, and Mrs. A. J. Keane acted as matron of honour. After the wedding a reception was held at the Grand Tea Rooms. HARRIS—CLEMENTS The Te Awamutu Methodist Church was the scene of a pretty wedding on Wednesday, when Miss Marjorie Clements, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Clements, of Pokuru, was married to Mr. Raymond Harris, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Harris, also of Pokuru. The Rev. W. J. Enticott officiated. The bride entered the church on the arm of her father, wearing a particularly chic blue costume with a hat to match. She carried a beautiful shower bouquet. Miss Hazel Clements attended her sister as bridesmaid, and Mr. J. Quin carried out the duties of best man.
