EXPLOSION IN FRANCE OTHER MEN MISSING (United P.A.—By Telegraph — Copyright) (Australian P.A. — United Service) PARIS, Saturday. An outbreak of fire in the shaft of the Roche-la-Moliere coalmine, at St. Etienne, caused a violent explosion in a gallery filled with workers. About a dozen men escaped. Sixty of the men who had been working in the Roche-la-Moliere mine were all gassed before assistance could be given. Twelve of them revived, but 48 were dead when they were brought to the surface. The total death-roll is now 53.
