GREEN MILL, MILFORD
“VERY CONFIDENTIAL” Madge Bellamy in a happy comedy entitled “Very Confidential,” will be shown at the Green Mill Theatre. Milford. to-night. Briefly, the fun concerns a strongminded salesgirl who doesn’t recognise defeat when she encounters it. She has set her heart upon winning the love of a man who seems beyond her reach. He is a good-looking football hero. The other girls in the sporting goods store where Madge is employed chide her when she confides her secret ambition. They wager she will never have a “look in.” The picture is superbly “dressed” and Miss Bellamy is given an opportunity to wear some stunning outfits in demonstrating the wares of the store to prospective customers. This gives her a hunch and she decides to masquerade as a celebrated sportswoman. That this should lead to grief is inevitable, but the plot is cleverly done and the director finds a way to bring happiness to the plucky little salesgirl in a most startling finale.
