MAORI PRINCESS INSPECTS UNIVERSITY
GUEST AT LUNCHEON Different phases of University life were explained yesterday to Princess Te Puea Herangi, of Waikato, by Professor Sperrin-Johnson. The chieftainess was the guest of the professor at luncheon, after which she inspected the new Auckland University College building. Professor Sperrin-Johnson, who is an enthusiastic admirer of Maori folk lore and music, invited the following to meet Princess Te Puea at luncheon: Mrs. Kenneth Mackenzie (wife of the vice-president of the college); Mrs. M. R. O’Shea (wife of the registrar); Miss Dora Miller, lecturer in French; Miss Bourne, matron; Miss Mackay, representing the students; Mr. George Graham, Te Akarana Maori Association, and Mr. Henry Graham
