RAILWAY TRAFFIC INCREASES Future prospects for the East Coast railway seem exceedingly bright since the full length of the line from Auckland to Taneatua has been inaugurated. The passenger traffic has increased by 100 per cent. The stock and goods also shov an increase. * * * The Fire Brigade’s final run for the Randle Cup competition took place on Tuesday evening, the result being: Foreman A. Stewart. 1; Fireman H. Harnett, F. Bickers and J. Curtis ti«*d for second place, and Fireman J. Downey 3. There were ten competitors.
