CONCERT AT ELLERSLIE
A concert in aid of the Ellerslie Presbyterian manse renovation fund was held in the Southern Cross Theatre, Ellerslie, on Tuesday evening, the Rev. S. E. Hill presiding. The music was supplied by the Symphony Orchestra (Mr. G. H. Hardy, conductor), St. David’s choir (Mr. G. S. Baker, conductor), and Mr. E. S. Craston, Mus. Bac., and Mr. W. Woods, who were the accompanists. Items were given by Mrs. Wyness, Miss Scott and Mr. Dickson (songs), Miss Shelmerdine (piano solo), Mr. Shelmerdine (violin solo), Miss R. E. Brame (flute solos), and j vthers. Mr. Sanders supplied the | humour which helped to make the con[cert a success.
