BROWN SHIELD MATCH S. AUCKLAND V. HAWKE’S BAY AT HAMILTON TO-MORROW (Special to THE SUN) HAMILTON. To-day. South Auckland, meets Hawke’s Bay to-morrow in the first Brown Shield match of the season, this being the Hawke’s Bay team's first appearance in a Brown Shield game, while the holders have a great record for the past two seasons in holding the trophy. On their display against Auckland on the King’s Birthday, South Auckland should have no difficulty in retaining the shield at the conclusion of the game. Hawke’s Bay arrive in Hamilton today, and have advised the local association that the strongest side available will represent them. The Waikato Rugby reps, play in Auckland to-mor-row, so the fixture will be the only one of importance in the district, and j with the Huntly mines closing down for the day, the game should be well 1 attended.
